“Kara strikes me as some kind of modern innkeeper — she creates a cozy, charming and unpretentious atmosphere, where the usual Brooklyn suspects — writers, professors, artists — can be exactly that.”
–Katherine Goldstein, Huffington Post

Come eat with me!
Come join me, your neighbors, your friends, and even some strangers for dinner! Twice a month I prepare a meal and hosting dinner for 12 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Menus will be sent via the email list and posted online here a week ahead of the dinner. Reserve your seat by booking it on our reservation page and paying online before the dinner. Dinners usually have a suggested donation which covers a home-cooked three-course meal and a few glasses of wine.
Don’t miss a dinner.

“I’ve attended and participated in quite a few cookoffs (including last year’s Hot Dog Cookoff), and I went home on Saturday feeling that this had been just about the best run event of its kind.”

For the past 6 years, I’ve been running The Great Hot Dog Cookoff, which is the premier wiener-themed culinary competition. Since 2006 amateur chefs have been competing for the title of Top Dog while raising over $25,000 in donations for New York City charities. This past year′s Annual Cookoff was benefiting the Food Bank For New York City and was held on the hottest Saturday last summer in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, at Kelso Brewery where we took over the block with grills, music, and plenty of beer. Don’t miss out on next year’s event!
